Hello Planet Earth!!!!

I have just made contact with the world of blogging and await a great new adventure!!!!  FYI I am an older (mature) being who loves music, art, my profession (dentist), my children, domestic partner, co-workers, long time friends, food (Paula Deen type). I am from the south…born here and have remained all of my life. From these roots I have slowly become  an exile from American culture as it exists today..hence my blog name. I am so curious about how this happened! No doubt I have a hand in it and if not for the many people I encounter every day who bear similar doubts about their place in this country I’d hold full responsibility for the alienation I experience. I simply no longer feel a member of the team called America. And I hate being separate from it yet I detest being part of it.
